Medical Review Officer Services
A Medical Review Officer (MRO) is a physician who has had special training in conducting and interpreting drug tests. After reviewing the results of such tests, the MRO may interview or examine the employee to determine if there is any legitimate medical reason that may explain the outcome. They also can help determine if there is a genuine reason when a donor is unable to produce a urine specimen.
BarnesCare physicians have been certified as MROs to ensure that our drug and alcohol testing is executed properly and has legal validity. They stay up-to-date on protocols and requirements of the various agencies that regulate drug and alcohol testing. MRO review is required for drug tests performed under DOT regulations. However, to ensure that a positive result is valid and can withstand possible legal challenge, BarnesCare provides MRO review on all positive drug tests. This is a best-in-class practice that sets BarnesCare apart from others.
With one call to our on-site service line, a certified technologist will be dispatched to your workplace to administer a drug screen and/or breath alcohol test. With on-site testing, your afterhours, weekend and holiday drug testing headaches are solved. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week anywhere in the St. Louis metropolitan area. This service is ideal for post-offer and random testing situations when several individuals are to be tested.
Random Testing Program
BarnesCare can administer your DOT and/or non-DOT random testing programs. We utilize a sophisticated software program that generates random selections and streamlines record management by providing quarterly and annual statistical reports for your company. For smaller companies that fall under DOT random regulations, we offer a testing consortium that will keep you and your team in full compliance.
If your drug testing program includes employees outside of the St. Louis area, BarnesCare can help identify collection sites and coordinate laboratory services, result reporting and billing. Streamline your program and let the professionals at BarnesCare handle the details.
BarnesCare offers secure test results reporting through an easy-to-use online platform. Clients can access results anytime, anywhere. The platform provides clients email notification of results availability and provides users rapid search features and the ability to create ad hoc reports. Clients may also receive results via secure fax.
