FergFlor Care at Northwest HealthCare held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce on April 8 to officially mark its opening to serve Ferguson-Florissant School District (FFSD) employees and their family members with a convenient option for quality acute care, preventive care and chronic condition management. 

The school district has partnered with BarnesCare, a division of BJC HealthCare, and Christian Hospital to establish the new health clinic, which is open Monday-Friday for all school district benefit enrolled employees and their family members over age 2 who are covered with the district’s United Healthcare insurance plan, as well as district pre-Medicare retirees. Services range from annual physicals to unexpected illness, with no co-pay charged for visiting the clinic.

Participating in the ribbon-cutting included St. Louis County executive Dr. Sam Page, CH president Rick Stevens, Florissant Mayor Tim Lowery, FFSD superintendent Dr. Joseph Davis, FFNEA president Kelli Ward, Missouri State Sen. Brian Williams and FFSD board of education president Dr. Sheila Powell-Walker.
