BarnesCare is pleased to welcome two new staff members.

William Wetzel, DO, FACEP, and Shellie Hill, DNP, BC-FNP, recently joined BarnesCare’s medical staff. 

Dr. Wetzel has worked as an emergency medicine physician for over 30 years. Most recently he worked for Emergency Consultants, Inc. at Black River Medical Center. He is a member and fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He received his undergraduate degree from Westminster College and his Doctor of Osteopathy from Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine. 

Shellie Hill has practiced as a family nurse practitioner and registered nurse for over 22 years. Most recently, she worked in cardiology at Midwest Heart and Vascular Specialists in Harrisonville, Missouri. She received her doctor of nursing practice and her master of science in nursing at University of Missouri Kansas City, and she is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Dr. Wetzel will be working primarily at BarnesCare Midtown, and Shellie Hill will be located at BarnesCare’s Westport location.
