Tom Kibby, MD, MPH, FACOEM, CIME, has been named chief medical officer of BarnesCare. Dr. Kibby has worked with BarnesCare since 2007 and has over 24 years of experience working in occupational medicine. “Dr. Kibby has worked closely with area employers providing expert care and consultation in workplace health and safety,” says Pat Venditti, executive director of BJC Corporate Health Services. “As chief medical officer, he will continue to focus on improving our quality of care and advancing our strategic vision.”
As chief medical director, Dr. Kibby has assumed the medical director role for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, City of St. Louis Firefighter Retirement Plan, Metro and BJC’s Council of Occupational Health Professionals.
Dr. Kibby is board-certified in occupational medicine and is certified as an independent medical examiner and medical review officer. He has also been recognized as a Fellow in the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine for his leadership and commitment. Dr. Kibby will continue to provide clinical services at BarnesCare’s Midtown clinic and maintain his involvement with on-site contracts.
