myHealthFolders
myHealthFolders is a free, confidential and secure online personal health record that allows employees to record, track and change important health information for their entire family. Users also can print a medical emergency card that provides access to the myHealthFolders file for medical providers during an emergency.
One of the strongest benefits of the site is its privacy. "As a health care organization, BJC protects health information every day, including that of employees," says Mary Elizabeth Grimes, BJC marketing director. "As a result, myHealthFolders is a secure place to store medical information."
"We continuously monitor and test myHealthFolders to check for new methods of compromising security," says Ron Peterson, BJC information systems project manager. "The end result is that the information is secure every step of the way."

What's new at myHealthFolders?
"myHealthFolders continues to grow and evolve and become an even better resource for participants," says Grimes. The lastest myHealthFolders features include:
Easy-to-Use Tutorial -- An online tutorial was developed to simplify the registration process. The tutorial is the result of user input. "Employees asked for instructional tools, so we created an instructional video, which can be accessed from the myHealthFolders home page," says Grimes. "Users can access the link and immediately watch the instructional video."
"My Health in My Hands" -- Sign up for a customized electronic newsletter that includes timely health news on topics that you select. The news briefs, selected from hundreds of publications and journals, are medically reviewed. Topics range from arthritis and depression to cancer and sports medicine.
Important Reminders -- Have an upcoming appointment with your doctor? Sign up for an e-mail reminder and receive e-mails one week, three days and one day before your appointment.
Medication-Only Report -- This report lists only your name, address and medications. "You can bring the report with you to the pharmacist," says Grimes. "And the pharmacist can screen for any drug interactions."
Individual User Accounts -- Each family member can have his or her own unique user ID and password, allowing each user to print an individual health report.
