As the nation, states and regions are now focused on vaccine delivery, BJC HealthCare continues to follow the guidance of the CDC and state public health agencies in developing and executing our vaccine delivery protocols. The guidance prioritizes the delivery of vaccine based on probability risk factors of contracting the virus.

Along with other health systems in the region, we have encouraged everyone to pre-register on all sites and to accept the first appointment that is offered, regardless of whether offered by a health system or public health department.   

BJC began public vaccines on Thursday, January 28 with appointments being offered first to those who are over the age of 85. We will continue to work thru our 300,000+ person pre-registration list in a manner that is as fair, equitable and consistent with guidance.

As more vaccine is supplied, we will be able to offer vaccine to all who are registered and eligible.
